Expedition Water Solutions (“Expedition”) is a water midstream company with principal operations in the Denver-Julesburg Basin (“DJ Basin”) of Colorado and the Powder River Basin (“PR Basin”) of Wyoming. Expedition is led by Jim Goddard, President and Founder, and Zach Neal, Chief Commercial Officer and CFO. Asset development projects include saltwater disposal wells, evaporative ponds, saltwater gathering pipelines, and recycle systems. Expedition is on track to continue its growth trajectory as the premier water midstream operator in the Rockies and is thus seeking a Director of Permitting, Compliance and Environmental to aid in growth projects and maintain Expedition’s exceptional record in environmental stewardship.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Permitting, Compliance and Environmental will be responsible for permitting and compliance reporting of all aspects of the oilfield wastewater life cycle, including disposal, recycling and pipeline gathering; ensuring that Expedition’s assets are being designed, constructed and managed according to the highest of environmental standards; and keeping Expedition’s senior management informed of new and upcoming environmental regulations and best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Complete, file and shepherd through approval all required state and local permits for injection wells, evaporative ponds, recycle facilities and gathering pipelines in Colorado and Wyoming
▪ Move permits through approval in a timely manner and regularly communicate anticipated permitting timelines to the broader time
▪ Interact with regulators, outside consultants and legal counsel, as needed, if notices arise
▪ Review current suite of assets to ensure regulatory compliance and high degree of environmental stewardship; make ongoing recommendations for environmental risk mitigation and compliance
▪ Review design of proposed capital assets for regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship
▪ Keep up-to-date on new regulations and proposed upcoming regulations
▪ Interact with state and local regulators to voice Expedition’s interests in rule makings

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
▪ Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Experience
▪ 5+ years of oil and gas environmental experience
▪ Saltwater disposal experience preferred
▪ Experience in Colorado and Wyoming preferred
